Starting from v2.0

A path of round green stepping stones leads into the distance across a pale lawn, with a small green flag planted on the first stone.

Compassly has been in development for over a year. We're starting these release notes with v2.0, as the point where we have a defined set of new features to share with everyone using Compassly.

From here, each main release has its own note, so you can follow how Compassly develops from one release to the next.

A moment in time

An instant camera with a photo coming out of its slot, the photo showing a simple card of a green circle and two bars, beside a small green clock.

Each release note describes Compassly at the point of release. Compassly keeps developing, and later releases often build on features introduced earlier, so a note may not reflect exactly how a feature works today. Where a later release extends a feature, its note says so.

For the current picture, our feature focus pages and help guides are kept up to date, or you can get in touch with the Compassly team.

What each note covers

Three cards fanned out in front of a stack of pale cards, each of the three marked with a small round star badge.

Release notes focus on the new features and enhancements we think organisations and their staff will be most interested in. They are not a full change log, so routine fixes and minor wording changes are left out, and smaller visual changes are grouped together.

Alongside what is new, each note explains why it helps in practice and who decides how it is used, whether that is competency authors, your organisation or individual staff. Each note is named by its main release, such as v2.0, and includes the smaller updates that followed it.
