RELEASE NOTES
Set deadlines and expiry periods for competencies, and download a PDF certificate for every completed competency, in Compassly v2.0.
Competencies can now have a deadline, set in the competency library as a number of days to complete. The clock starts when the competency is first assigned to someone.
Competency authors set the timings for each competency: how long people have to complete it, how long it remains valid before it expires, and how early it shows as due soon. Each competency carries the timing its author has determined is appropriate. Deadlines and expiry can each be switched off, so a competency can have no deadline and never expire.
As the deadline gets close, the competency shows as due soon, and once it passes it shows as late. Supervisees and Supervisors both see these statuses, so it is easier to spot who needs support before they fall behind.
Organisations need assurance that people's skills are being maintained, not just that they were assessed once. Each competency can now have an expiry period, so a completed competency shows the date it expires.
Competencies show as expiring soon ahead of that date and as expired once it has passed. This gives supervisees and Supervisors early warning that someone's competence needs to be demonstrated again.
Renewal can be set up to suit each competency. It can repeat everything needed to gain the competency in the first place, or ask for a shorter set of assessments or declarations.
Each completed competency now has a certificate that opens as a PDF. It shows the person, the competency, the date it was completed and who assessed it, plus the expiry date where one applies.
Certificates can be printed or saved as proof of competence.
Every certificate also has a digital twin, with its own web address and QR code. Anyone can scan the code or follow the link to check the certificate is genuine and still valid, without needing the Compassly app.
A fast account switcher makes shared work devices easy to use. Colleagues can switch between their own profile and someone else's in moments, entering only their password each time.
You can now add someone to your organisation before choosing a job description, with a reminder that most people need one.
Competencies completed retrospectively and stages completed manually now carry a label showing how each was achieved.
A competency's history now hides automatic system updates by default, with the option to show them, so the record is easier to read.
Web reporting dashboards can now be saved as a PDF.
