RELEASE NOTES
Answer guides for questions assessed through discussion, quick visual improvements for Supervisors and a new certificate viewer in Compassly v3.8.
Some knowledge is better assessed through discussion. Answer guides, first added in v2.3 for written answers a Supervisor marks, now also work on questions a Supervisor asks during a live assessment. Competency authors can add an answer guide to these questions, and only the supervisor sees it, on the assessment screen. They can then verbally ask their supervisee the questions and assess their answers against the answer guides.
Talking an answer through fits more easily around busy clinical shifts than writing it down. It also lets the supervisor fill in gaps as they go, and add local guidance for their own clinical area and team.
The trade-off is a lighter record, because the answers themselves are not written down.
The person being assessed never sees the answer guide, even when they look back at the stage afterwards, and it stays out of historic reports.
Retrospective competencies and manually completed stages now show the organisation they were completed at, which helps when a competency moves with someone from one organisation to another.
The dashboard competency report now names the competency instead of showing "Active competencies". The Review button now sits at the bottom of the Questions contents list, ready when you have worked through the questions.
Warnings when failing a stage give more context, and the Questions screen now focuses on the questions themselves, with references kept on the competency. Certificates also open in a new viewer in the iOS and Android apps.
Try it now in Compassly, or contact us to book a demo.
