Competency due dates

When competency authors publish a competency, they will include a deadline for completing that competency. This is set in the number of days that can reasonably be expected to take to complete that competency.
Can I change that deadline?
Yes - you can! We have brought this feature to Compassly due to customer demand, and a greater flexibility and supervisor control over the due dates. Please note that to be able to change the due date, you must be a supervisor.
To change the due date of any competency, navigate to the relevant Competency Overview. In the competency overview, tap
⏱️ Due on.
Sometimes, if the competency is already past its due date, you might see
⏱️ Late
instead of “Due on”. Tapping on “Late” will have the same outcome as tapping on “Due on” in a competency.
This will show you the original due date, as well as give you the option to change it. To change the competency due date, tap
Edit due date
This will then open the calendar and prompt you to select a new due date.
Once selected, tap
OK
and
Save.
Confirm your decision, and the competency deadline will automatically update.
Hints and tips
When looking to set the deadline, it is always best to allow a fair amount of contingency time to the length of time you think it should take.
You can make as many changes to the due dates as is necessary. All of this will be saved in-app, under the “Due on” component - Compassly will maintain a history of the previous edits to the due date.
