Updates and reminders that reach the right people on time

Clinical teams have plenty to keep track of on a shift. Compassly tells each person when something needs them, on their own learning, their programmes or the people they support, and reminds them in good time before work becomes late or a competency expires.

Hear what matters to you

Compassly lets people know when something important happens, such as a competency being completed, renewed or invalidated. Staff are told about their own record and supervisors about the people they supervise, so everyone can get on with their shift, confident Compassly will tell them when something needs them.

Reminders with time to act

Compassly reminds people when work is due soon and again on the first day it becomes late, and does the same as a completed competency nears expiry and on the day it expires. Supervisors get the same reminders for the people they supervise, so they can offer support early and renewals can be planned in good time.

Reminders go out only on a day when something needs attention, so each one is worth opening. Our page on renewal and expiry explains what happens when a competency comes up for renewal.

Marking that fits the shift

When someone submits work for marking, their supervisor is notified and one tap opens it ready to mark, so marking can fit around a busy shift. Once it is marked, the person is notified straight away, so feedback arrives while the work is still fresh in their mind.

Preceptorship kept on track

Preceptorship and other programmes of development send notifications too, for progress, evidence and marking, with a reminder when a milestone is due soon and another if it becomes late. Preceptees stay on top of their own programme, and approved preceptors are kept up to date on the preceptees assigned to them, so support comes at the right moment.

Programme Leads are kept informed about everything on the programmes they lead, across every cohort, with their reminders gathered into one summary for each programme, so they keep the full picture without a crowded inbox. When a milestone runs late the lead knows as well as the preceptor, so they can step in early with support.

Notifications worth reading

People only keep reading notifications that are useful to them, so Compassly is careful about what it sends and to whom.

Grouped reminders. When several things fall due on the same day, which is common when a role comes with a set of competencies, they arrive as one reminder.

Only what others have done. Nobody is notified about something they did themselves, so every notification tells them something new.

The teams you choose. Managers and Supervisors who oversee several teams keep their broad view in the app while being alerted straight away only about the teams they choose.

Your choice of channel. Every notification is kept in one list in the app, and each person chooses push alerts on their phone, emails or both in their notification settings, opting in to programme alerts that are useful to them.
