Clear reporting for everyone, from team to board

Knowing who is competent, who is on track and who needs support matters at every level of an organisation. Compassly reports straight from the records supervisors sign off, so team leaders, educators and governance leads each see exactly what their role needs, in the app or on the web, and can act on it straight away.

Answers from up-to-date records

Every assessment and sign-off updates the person's record straight away, and the dashboard in the Compassly app reads from those same records. The figures and the evidence behind them are one and the same, so nobody spends time compiling reports, and preparing for an audit or inspection starts from records that are already up to date.

Team reporting in your pocket

Supervisors and Managers have a dashboard on their phone, tablet or computer that shows each of their teams at a glance: where competencies stand, what is late or waiting for sign-off, and recent activity. They can go from a team to a competency to each person in a couple of taps, and filter to see what is most at risk, so they know in moments where to focus support.

They can act on what they find straight away, such as starting renewals for people whose competency has expired. It doesn't even feel like reporting.

The right view for each role

Every organisation arranges oversight differently, so Compassly lets you give each person the view their role needs, without access to everything else.

Following a team. Practice development nurses and matrons often support a team without being part of it. As Observers, they can do everything a supervisor in that team can, including assessing, without appearing in its list or counting towards its figures, so they support teams wherever they are needed and every team's figures stay accurate.

Overseeing every team. Education leads and others who oversee the whole organisation can be given a view of every team without joining each one, so the whole picture is in one place.

Teams for monitoring. A team can be set up purely to monitor a staff group, division or site, visible only to the people overseeing it, so a divisional or site lead has a ready-made view of exactly the people they look after.

A view for subject leads

Some people look after a clinical subject rather than a team, such as the blood transfusion lead or the non-medical prescribing lead. Compassly can show them how their chosen competencies stand across the whole organisation, down to each person, without giving them full organisation-wide reporting. They can see where support is needed wherever it falls, and our page on governance controls explains how these groups are set up.

Report the way you think

Tag competencies the way your organisation thinks about them, such as by risk, staff group or care setting, and use those tags in reporting. A question such as how high-risk competencies are going for healthcare support workers in community settings becomes a quick look, so the questions your board and governance groups ask are quick to answer.

Preceptorship cohorts at a glance

Preceptorship and other programmes have their own reporting, so leads can see how every intake is progressing at a glance. They can see the Programme Leads and approved preceptors for each programme, spot any preceptee still waiting for a supervisor so every preceptee has support from the start, and follow each intake's progress through its milestones.

When an intake finishes, its cohort can be closed with every record kept, so dashboards stay focused on current intakes, and there is a clear history of who joined or left each cohort and when.

Organisation-wide web dashboards

For the wider picture, web reporting dashboards bring people, teams, competencies and programmes together in charts and tables, such as overall competency status, status by location and how competencies were completed. You decide who sees each dashboard, and team dashboards show each person only the teams they supervise, so everyone can work from one common dashboard.

Each organisation sees only its own data, and reporting never widens who someone can see, so wider reporting never comes at the cost of confidentiality. Where a group runs several linked organisations, web reporting can bring them together for the people who need that view.

Dashboards can be saved as a PDF for a board paper or an inspection, and we can build custom reports around the questions your organisation asks. If you would like reports on a schedule or competency data in your own reporting tools, we will work out the best approach with your team.
